Styrofoam craft "contest"

Has anyone tried using styrofoam for a box insert for perfume packaging? I'm trying to work with "stock" boxes so the box itself won't hold the bottle steady. I came across styrofoam at a crafts shop and wondered if it might work.There's this DOW Chemical website called styrofoamcrafts.com and they have an offer for aspiring professional designers to come up with new uses of styrofoam. I'm wondering if using it in packaging for perfume might be practical.Frankly, I think you have to cut it with knife (or die, like a cookie cutter?) so that might be an obstacle.
