There's no doubt that the box added about 200 percent to the perceived value of the candy ... and turned it from a pig out treat to a beautiful gift.

The same goes for perfume. A nice box and do wonders for your fragrance and anyone who spend lots of time developing a fragrance but doesn't spend time working on the packaging is wasting a lot of effort and losing a lot of money.

Of course I'm a graphic designer so perhaps I'm prejudiced.
