It is interesting to compare this (early) California Perfume Company face powder presentation with the (later) Coty Air-Spun face powder boxes. Both are extreme in their elegance (with Coty coming out somewhat ahead). This box has raised lettering and elegant decorations. It is a far cry from CPC's earlier (pre-1910) presentations and a sign that CPC was very much aware now of other major perfume marketers.
